Grace, peace, and mercy, be to you from God our Father and from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Concordia has a rich history of blessings and challenges that by God's grace we move forward.   As a congregation, that is part of His Church, we need to remember and focus on His grace and every blessing that we may meet the challenges with faith and see how God is drawing us not only closer to Himself but to each other as well.  God's peace now and always.

I began working here at Concordia in 2008.  I have a wonderful husband, Michael and an amazing daughter, Amelia.

It is wonderful to get to work with such amazing people, get to know and help our congregation and have the priveledge to see all the young people who come through our school doors.  Getting to see God's work in both our school children who are just learning about Him and in our congregation, through the every day highs and lows as well as in the reassurance in their death, through His death and ressurection is truly a blessing.

I have been in education for 15 years and  have worked with children from 6 weeks old to seniors in high school. I graduated from Western Illinois University with my Bachelor's of Science in Special Education. Recently, I finished classes to become a called Lutheran School teacher. Children are the highlight of my day. When I see them sharing the love of the Lord it melts my heart. One of the greatest joys I have is when I see a child's eyes light up because they have learned something new. God's blessings to all.

Teaching is exciting because every day is different.  The students love learning new things and freely share their caring nature with others.  After 25 years teaching at Concordia, i retired and spent my winters with family in New Orleans, substitute teaching.  Last year, God brought me back due to minor health issues, and as a result, protecting me from the COVID outbreak there.  When Concordia needed someone to fill in for a medical leave, I truly felt God was calling me to help.  It is so much fun reusing my ideas from my past teaching and spending time with the class.  Sharing Christ's Love is part of our every day experiences.
