Our Staff
After serving as her vacancy pastor in 2005, Pastor Koschmann returned to Concordia Lutheran Church-School-Preschool as her Assistant-to-the Pastor in 2007. His main duties include preaching, teaching adult classes, and visiting the sick and home bound.
His full-time parish is Immanuel Lutheran in Riverton, where he has served since 1987. Since 2010, he has served as the "Pastor Pro-Tempore" at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a historically black congregation on Springfield's East end. He also holds a weekly Bible Class at Concordia Village in Springfield and leads the Sunday Vesper service at the Village on a rotation basis.
I began working here at Concordia in 2008. I have a wonderful husband, Michael and an amazing daughter, Amelia.
It is wonderful to get to work with such amazing people, get to know and help our congregation and have the privilege to see all the young people who come through our school doors. Getting to see God's work in both our school children who are just learning about Him and in our congregation, through the every day highs and lows as well as in the reassurance in their death, through His death and resurrection is truly a blessing.
During my first year as a teacher at Concordia, there was a lot of learning going on, and I hope the students learned some too! Moving forward into year two, I look forward to growing into the role in which I've been entrusted and to do my part to fulfill Jesus's Commission to "Make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28: 19). I am humbled and blessed to serve our students, families, coworkers and congregtion at Concordia!
I have been in education for 15 years and have worked with children from 6 weeks old to seniors in high school. I graduated from Western Illinois University with my Bachelor's of Science in Special Education. Recently, I finished classes to become a called Lutheran School teacher. Children are the highlight of my day. When I see them sharing the love of the Lord it melts my heart. One of the greatest joys I have is when I see a child's eyes light up because they have learned something new. God's blessings to all.
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. I am so excited to work with you and your child here at Concordia. We are going to learn so many new and exciting things together! I have 26 years of Early Childhood experience. I am married to Carl and we have a dog named Dilly. I have a niece, Sydney and a nephew Alec. Welcome to Concordia Preschool! We are so excited that you have chosen us as your child's preschool. Early childhood education is such an important piece in building a solid foundation for higher learning and social interaction.
Tracy has worked here at Concordia since 2015! She is always working on finding new entrees to keep the menus new and fresh. Tracy has one daughter and she is the twin sister of Trudy, our Preschool teacher.
